I'm in the middle of the second season of Avatar, trying my best to make it to the end so that I can start on Korra. I am loving every bit of it, especially any scene with Sokka being a teenage dork.
This Sokka mask was an experiment with a new kind of mask-making. The base is made of paper-mache and wallpaper paste, then covered with spackle, sanded, and covered with many, many layers of paint. The ponytail is horsehair.
This is also my first mask made on a "generic" face base (rather than my own face), with the hopes of finding a good system for possible commissions.
