The Destruction of Wonderland

I just finished Alice: Madness Returns, and I have to say it's been a long time since I've been so impressed by a game. I think the last time must have been ten years ago with the first Alice. I really don't do fan art that often, but I just couldn't get the game's visuals out of my head. So disturbing, creepy, and lush. The ending is definitely something that sticks with you for a few days.

Here Alice sits, triumphant, watching the destruction of the Infernal Train. I don't want to give too much away for those who have not yet reached the end.

I created this image with cut paper and gouache, inspired by the "paper" figures used in the game's gorgeous cutscenes.

The character of Alice, her clothing, and the train were not designed by me but rather by the talented creative team behind Alice: Madness Returns.
